Dessin présenté pour le concours "talents contemporains 2013" de la fondation François Schneider dont le thème est "l'eau" / Drawing for the "2013 contemporary talents" competition of the François Schneider foundation which theme is "water".

L'eau, h2o, c'est habituellement 2 atomes d'hydrogène pour un d'oxygène. J'ai détourné sa classification chimique pour nous amener à réfléchir sur cet élément indispensable à la vie. L'homme en use et en abuse, et petit à petit la rend inconsciemment impropre à la vie. Allons-nous continuer de la corrompre ? Jusqu'où irons-nous à force de la polluer ?
J'ai donc imaginé un hypothétique avenir, une fable anticipatoire dans laquelle, au fond des profondeurs abyssales de l'océan, un octopode découvre deux crânes humains, vestiges d'une civilisation passée. Fort de sa trouvaille, cet argonaute du futur semble bercer ces boîtes osseuses, les chérissant tel ses petits.
Symbolisant les monstres infernaux pour l'homme, la pieuvre en devient son gardien posthume./
Water, h2o, is usually 2 hydrogen atoms and one of oxygen. I diverted it from its periodic table to make us think about this essential element of life. Humankind uses it and abuses it, make it unfit for life without thinking. Will we still going that way knowing we pollute water until death ?
So I've imagined a hypothetical future where, in the deep ocean, an octopus finds two human skulls, relics from a past civilization. It seem to rock those craniums, loving them like its own infants. For men octopus symbolizes hell, here, it becomes its posthumous guardian.

Au gré de l'été j'ai trouvé une étrange créature ; à mi-chemin entre la libellule et le papillon, de longues ailes souples lui donnant un petit air de princesse. Fascinée, je n'ai pu m'empêcher de lui donner une nouvelle vie, une vie dans une boîte…… / During this summer I met a strange creature ; half way between dragonfly and butterfly, with supple long wings making her looking like a princess. I was captivated and couldn't help to give her a new life, a life in a box……
